The Hiltons

Paris’s great grandfather Conrad Hilton, nicknamed Connie, was the founder of Hilton Hotels, the first one being a run-down, forty room Mobley Hotel in Texas.

He married a total of three times, spawning four children. The first three were from his first marriage to Mary Adelaide Barron - Conrad Nicholson ‘Nicky’ Hilton Jr, William Barron Hilton (can you see a trend here?!) and Eric Michael Hilton. His second wife was American socialite and actress Zsa Zsa Gabor. Zsa Zsa gave birth to Connie’s only daughter Constance Francesca Hilton.

Upon his death in 1979 aged 91, he left $500,000 to each of his two surviving siblings and $10,000 to each niece, nephew and his daughter Constance. His son William Barron contested the will which resulted in him receiving four million shares of the hotel enterprise.

Before William Barron was elected as VP of Hilton Hotels in 1954 he had a number of entrepreneurial ventures including: co-founding the MacDonald Oil Company and founding Air Finance Corporation. After his election he created the Carte Blanche credit card for the company’s customers and in 1959 he was offered the Los Angeles franchise in the AFL naming his team the Chargers. A team he later sold his majority interest in for $10 million after being asked to drop his football responsibilities in order to become president and chief executive of the Hilton Hotels corporation.

In 1947, William married Marilyn June Hawley and the couple went on to have eight children; William Barron Hilton Jr, Hawley Anne Hilton, Steven Michael Hilton, David Alan Hilton, Sharon Constance Hilton, Richard Howard Hilton, Daniel Kevin Hilton and Ronald Jeffrey Hilton.

Nicholai Olivia Hilton was born on 5 October 1983 in New York; she is the youngest sister of Paris. In 2004 she launched her own clothing line and designed a line of handbags for Samantha Thavasa - a Japanese company. In 2007 she launched a second line Nicholai but at a higher retail price.

Also in 2004, Nicky married her childhood sweetheart Todd Andrew Meister at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas before an annulment just three months later - claiming the pair spent too much time apart and they had married on a whim. She is currently dating James Amschel Victor Rothschild, nephew of the 4 th Baron Rothschild, member of the Rothschild banking family.

Barron Nicholas Hilton II was born on the 7 th of November 1989. He is the younger brother to Paris and Nicky and eldest brother to Conrad. Although Barron has yet to establish himself as a hard worker in the celeb world, he has earned himself some negative headlines what with his arrest for DUI in 2008... for which he was released on bail, later pleading guilty to two misdemeanours and being in possession of a fake ID.

Barron also caught the attention of the media in December 2013 when he posted a picture of his cut and swollen face onto Instagram. With no explanation as to what caused the injuries, rumours began surfacing that they were the result of an attack instigated by none other than Lindsay Lohan.
